Check this out dudes. I bought a new digital camera and shot this video just for fun.

0-60 : 8s
0-100: 22s

Nothing special, but it amazes me how much power 328i has after hitting 60mph and going up.

Can someone shoot a full accel. on a 330, 330pp or an M3? That'd be awesome to compare. 540i would be nice too... and M5 too....wow!

1: it is automatic
2: there was a slight incline
3: running ac

My best would probably be around 7.5s, which is perfectly according to the catalog.

how did you strap your camera down i was thinking of taking the exact footage this weekend.

kinda funny.... I shot it just by holding the camera in my hand... (I have an automatic). With manual, it'd be kinda hard - you'd have to use another person if you want to survive :)

Good luck and bring the vid on as soon as you get it done :)

You just held it there?? The camera was so steady, I was sure it was strapped down or something.
Where you were able to go from 0mph to 100mph? I would do something like that as well if I could find a place to do that.

No kidding, guys.... I just held it in my right hand leaning against the top of the steering wheel. And since I was not making any turns, that was my "support". I did 0-100 on the entrance to the freeway, there's tons of places like this around here. You just have to have the guts :). MrElussive, are you saying there is nowhere you can do this in your area??? It only takes 20 seconds, ha ha! Do it 5am in the morning, if the traffic is your problem!

Oh, the link was down for the night. It's back up :)

Wow i just realized you did that all without a seatbelt on...pretty stupid.
Hey, I didn't plan on doing 100.... and it took only 22 seconds [hihi] [hihi] [hihi] [hihi] [hihi] [:D] [:D] [:D] [:D]

Great idea with you hosting it. Please, do! My upload speed is only 15k, and if I'm trying to do someting that probably kills it down too. Let me know when it's ready and I'll edit my original post to include your link. I'm hosting if off my home computer which needs to be shut off at night, so that'd help me out a lot!

I should try that but I would have to strap the camera down or something because there is no way I would be able to shift the gears. [V]

Tape it to the top of your airbag and make sure you will not be making any turns on you way to 150mph...

Wasn't there a post in the past where someone mounted their camera on the back sill where the baby seat bracket (centre) is? I think they removed the bracket and installed the camera using the existing hole.
