First off, I would like to say I love my dad's job! This past weekend I drove a 2002 (with facelift) 325i and a 2002 (no facelift) 325iC. Anyways, I took a look at the sticker for the sedan and it said the final assembly point was in Africa. When did BMW start building in Africa? I always thought the whole car was built in Bavaria. [???1]

yup ... some are manufactured in Rosslyn, S. Africa (british control) and some are made in Germany ...
and those final assembly points apply to both all 325's / 330's
from what i understand ... all workers are trained at one location and shipped off to different plants ...
from what i understand the z4's and x5's are made in the USA ... South Carolina i believe
