04 330ci extremely hot under hood .....

just wondering if any 04 330ci owners have the problem where the metal on the side (front fenders) are EXTREMELY hot after normal driving? It is so hot that it kinda burns your hand ... so to speak ...

when i open the hood and touch the side metal near the side panel ... they are extremely hot ... is this common? or normal?

If the temperature indicator sits straight you are where you are supposed to be!

Mine gets quite warm to the touch. The dealer said BMW engines have a tendency to run hotter than other engines, so this is normal.

yeha . .thats what i suppose as well but my 323i before doesn;t seem to be this hot .. maybe the diff in power ... what i am afraid is the heat on the siude fender that if it gets too warm for a extended period of time, the paint will fade =<
