Hey fellas,

I have a Motorola V710 and BMW Assist with Bluetooth. I LOVE the V710s Voice Recognition. Its FAR BETTER than the BMW Assist's. Is there a way to activate the voice recognition of the phone through the car?

Does your car have navigation? I have a 2005 325i with Assist/Bluetooth, and I use my E815 (similar to the V710) in the car. However, I haven't been able to use any voice commands--I've been using the R/T button, the "talking head", and the up/down arrows on the steering wheel to flip through the phonebook. If it's a number I don't have in my phonebook, I dial it on the phone, and let the car pick up the call.

Is there any trick to getting the car's voice recognition to work on a non-Navi car? Do non-Navi cars even accept voice commands?

I'd love to find a way to use the phone's voice dial features through the car, too...

Once again I post the link to a great manual for voice command.

I have the first generation BT module and voice recognition works great. I have programmed in many numbers into the car's system. To access voice, hold down the talking head until it beeps; see the manual, but I also think that you can say "help" and the car will help you with commands. BTW, no nav.

I think what you need to do is just press and hold the talking man button and say "HELP." It should give you all the instructions you need.

I still want to activate the VOICE RECOGNITION on the phone. Its FAR better. I remember reading someone's post a month ago who had done that.
