Took delivery of my Silver Gray 330ci ZHP last night from Fields BMW in Lakeland, FL. This marks the second BMW to enter our family, the first being a 2004 745i. I have nothing but exceptional things to say about the experience and the car so far. Only 100 miles have been put on the car and it is an immense joy to drive.
Specifications:
Silver Gray W/ Gray Leather
Silver Cube Trim
ZHP - Performance Package
Steptronic Transmission
Xenon Headlamps
BMW Assist
Navigation/GPS
First Impressions:
Coming from a GMC Yukon, I was prepared for the change. I was not sure of the Silver Gray, gray leather, silver cube combination when I ordered it and was told by the dealer that they had never seen one. I must say I could not be happier with my selection and have received nothing but compliments regarding the look and smoothness of the car. According to the dealer, my car was one of the first to receive some upgrades from early 2004 including a modified HK sound system and some cosmetic changes on the interior of the car. I did not realize the roof of the car would remain black and create a two-tone effect on the inside of the car, but it is quite nice.
I could not be happier with the navigation system. The map is much more detailed and some of its functions are much easier to use then the GM system. In fact, it seems much easier and to use then the I-Drive system used in the 7ers. Handling and ride are very similar to an older 911 I have driven. I have actually been mistaken for an M3 on several occasions earlier today and have received nothing but compliments on the car.
I'm due for my Simonizing paint and interior treatment tomorrow morning and tinting next week. I cannot thank you all enough for your time, support and advice through the process.
