140 on my way to work today

I made it to 140 on my way to work today. I must say it was very smooth and seemed more like 50 or 60. And when on the side roads, I hit 90-100 a few times, once going from a dead stop to 90 in about 1 or 2 seconds before I hit the other side of the intersection I was stopped at.

Well, I would like to think my car was that fast but I am sure I have some sort of speedometer problem. Anyone else ever noticed his or her car becoming extremely fast like mine?

Then again we should be donig this on the track and not on public roads...

I agree. It's just a joke, my speedometer is broken and just seems to pick a speed and it has nothing to do with the actual car speed. I drive along say 40 and all of the sudden the speedo jumps to like 130. It would be fun if my car was really that fast.

I should have taken a picture but it is at the dealer now. They say it needs to be reprogrammed.

I hope they hurry because I hate the car they got for me at Enterprise. It’s a 2004 Impala with only 6 miles on it but what a piece of crap. It is sad that this is the best GM can do. It is noisy, handles like shit, when I apply the brakes I don't know if it is going to stop or not and feels like it is all over the place.

So the dealer is telling me that they had to order parts. They ordered a new dash board cluster and some computer stuff. It sounds like a big job, sure glad it is under warranty.

My wife travels a lot for her job and is constantly in rental cars. She always comments on how much she appreciates her BMW after driving the generally crappy US cars.

His limiter doesn't kick in till 155 mph.. he has a ZHP...
