Ok, first of all welcome to bmwboard!
Purchase yourself 1x engine oil filter, engine oil, fuel filter, air filter.
Change your diff and transmission oil (and filter if its a slushy) pull your wheels off and check your brake pads and rotors.
Then to reset your service indicator lights use this link : http://www.unofficialbmw.com/repair_faqs/sil.html

Visit back often, and post in other threads to give your opinion etc...
Peace.

Replace fan and power steering belts. Check engine mounts as these are almost always due for replacement about now, and while you do the tranny check the rubber tranny mounts too - trust me, you don't want them to break when you hit the brakes hard and have the motor end up in the radiator.

Take a look at suspension bushes, esp front strut top mounts.

Sound expensive??? e30's can be, but if you suck it up and do all of this now you may be in for many years trouble free motoring.

oh who am I kidding its an e30...
