1st problem on my beautiful car.

ok well this is the first problem on my car ever it has about 58k miles 1999 323is. ok so the problem is like a week ago the passenger side door was hard to open you really had to tug on the handle. now the door doesnt open about half the time. sometimes it decides it wants to open but still put up a fight, and other times you have to pull on both of the passenger side door levers (inside and out).
im guessing its the cable but im not sure please help.

This happened on the driver's door on my E46. It was under warranty, so I took it to the dealer. They said the strike latch plate needed adjusting, it's been fine since.

do you know where i can buy that? also how hard is it to install, and how do i install?

They didn't replace the strike plate, they adjusted the existing strike plate. It's part #6.

o ok i think i see it it is the hook that the door latches onto huh?thx
