Just got prices from two of the closest dealers..

NielloBMW(Sacramento, CA) and ValleyBMW(Modesto, CA) want between $140.00-$160.00 for a coolant flush on a 325i automatic. That's for everything including coolant.

They also sell coolant for $19.25 gal. if i had a DIY drain & fill in mind. They state the car usually only needs one gallon of coolant when replacing. Can anyone tell me if doing just a basic drain & fill on the radiator is difficult on BMW's or just as sufficient? How different is it from other vehicles (ie: 50 coolant/50 water or 60 coolant/40 water) ? I've done drain & fills on radiators before, and they are fairly simple & quick, but reading some things on these boards make it sound so difficult. Where exactly is the drain plug on e46's (ie: driver side, passenger side, did BMW make it to where you a need a "special" tool to open it)? Would you do this yourself?

Found a specialty shop in-town that only deals with BMW's, Volvo's, & Mercedes, and they quoted me for $90.00 for a flush, thats including coolant, but they'll need the car for 3-4 hours. Should I do this?
