My wife bought a 3251A in April. A month ago it died on the freeway & wouldn't restart.
The ignition switch & computer were replaced.
Today, the same thing happened, but she explained the symptoms more accurately.
It drops out of gear & won't go back in. After pulling over, it refuses to restart.
My guess it has something to do with the transmission relays telling the computer that they're broken & not to start the car (Since they won't work to allow the car to go in gear).
Any similar experiences out there?
She was out of town & was actually able to get BMW to tow the car to our local dealer 150 miles away. The $300 bill was probably less than hotels & meals in Beverly Hills, the sight of the breakdown.
