2003 330i top speed?

What is the top spead for the 330i? My user book says 155MPH (250kmh) is it true?

For US the speed is limited to 205kmh / 128mph. The 330i with Performance package has limited top speed of 250kmh / 155mph in EU or US. For Europe and eastern country all regular 330i's have limted speed to 250kmh / 155mph.

If you will get a Chip and V-Max it can climb to 270kmh / 167mph.

Hmmm.. well my 330i has almost 9000km on it and I could only reach 230kmh today.. i felt the gauge is moving more but at a very very very slow rate. Could the speed increase with time?

How did you shift? did you take the fourth gear to the red line or you sfifted earlier to the fifth and was accelerating? Do you have Manual or Automatic transmission?

You can't expect to reach the speed like from 0 to 100kmh, but it shouldn't be a problem take it up to 250. In some cases the car outperforms itself after 25000km or more. It depends how did you run those 25000km. Stop and Go traffic will put a stress on the engine and it will loose performance after certain time.

325i with this upgrades around 250kmh / 155mph.

My car is automatic and it was on sport mode. Maybe it just needs time? I don't know.. I was flooring it all the way.

The automatic transmission needs more time to pull the car to that speed of course but never heard of this. Are you shure all the spark plugs are working?

Does your car sounds right at idle?

In the US, we are limited to 128mph on the 330i.

Yeah everything is normal. Maybe the engine needs time because it's still new?

My 325i pulls hard all the way to 135..... you can almost trick it into 138-140 range because of the way it limits the top end (thru shutting down cylinders slowly)... The Chip company I am talking to is promising top end to increase to 155-160 like beemerworld said. 5th in auto should not matter, mine pulled great in 5th.. remember your rpms are up, so torque is up.... it's a good thing.
