Hi guys...

Finally got around to taking some pics of the car, after the first coat of Zaino wax. Sorry about the grungy quality and bloated size of the pics... a new camera is on the way [;)]

I do have a question about the fog lights though. They are very yellow in color, so I got some hyperwhites that I'm told are closer in color to the adaptive xenons. Has anyone seen a DIY anywhere about how to change them ? I had a quick look at them while I was waxing, and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to open the casing...

Nice car !! Usually, for the fog lights, you have to under the front of the car to access them. This means that you will need a jack, but then again, I'm not positive of how the 330Ci is...

Beautiful car! [thumb]

Is that a M-Tech front bumper you have on? I've had my car for a little over a month now and have yet to do my first Zaino job. I purchased the ZFX1, Z2, and Z6 spray and have yet to put the magic to work. Might just take some time this weekend to see how the car would turn out with Zaino all over.

btw, I have just been spraying Z6 all over the car after I wash/shampoo the car with Mequiar Car wash. Does anyone know if this is ok? So far, it's been a thing of beauty as it make the surface of the car just as shiney. Has anyone ever tried this? [???1]

Thanks for the comments guys...

To answer a few questions...

I can't find anything in the manual about the fog lights, aside from how to turn 'em on. It does look like I'm gonna have to go up underneath, and I'm not what you'd call "mechanically inclined". Too bad the nearest speedshop is in Halifax :(

The Zaino is definitely worth it. Its a chore to put it on the first time though. The sequence I did was wash with Dawn, wash twice with Z7, go over entire car with Z7 spraymix and Clay Bar, was again with Z7, dry, then Z2 + accelerator, Z6 spray, Z2 and then Z6 a final time. Then it got dark and I couldn't do anymore. I'd reccommend the clay bar to strip off all the old wax and road junk before waxing though.

The bumper is the M-tech kit, that came with the m-sport suspension, lip spoiler and side panel extensions (which I find to be a little ricey), and a few little decorations in the cabin (M steering wheel, dead pedal, and carbon fiber trim). IF anyone wants to see some interior pics let me know and I'll post some.

The 18" rims are nice, but next to impossible to keep clean. They came with Dunlop 9000 tires, which I find ok, but not as good as the Michelin Pilot Sports I had on my last car. The adaptive headlights are kinda cool in fog (which is more than plentiful around here) but makes little difference in normal driving.

I consider Zaino to be a really different wax than all the others. Zaino makes your car's paint really really shiny and reflective...pretty much like a mirror. Zaino is a great wax that is really really intense. If you like and want that level of intensity (shine and reflection) for your car, then go for it. Here is an image of a BMW 330CiC with Zaino wax applied to it...

Nedd, I hear you on the rims, next to impossible. Took me an average of 15 mins per rim. And same here, i got the Dunlop 9000 which I am kinda disappointed in its performance wise. But not a bad set of rubbers afterall.

congrad again ... you are going to love it so much !!!
