2005 330xi Idle

My 05' has a rough idle situation when cold. Just after starting, as the tach needle begins to fall the car runs rough for 10-20 seconds until idle stops falling. Any ideas? Dealer says it may be in need of software update, but why not just turning an adjustment? Anyone with knowledge of this issue? [bmwdance]

BMW cars tend to be quirky in the cold weather on startup, and after resting for a night or two (if it's chilly). I wouldn't let it bother me, it's just something we all overlook and deal with. As long as you dont get stuck or a breakdown I wouldn't complain...

Well, it's not cold out and this is my 3rd BMW and never even a hick-up at idle. Should not be the case for a $40,000 car with 3,000 mi.
