Anyone know if the 07 model will have the same front grill design as the E92? rumers are the 07 will possibly match the E92 horsepower numbers so I'm curious about the grill also. I really like the body of the E90 but wish the front grill were more like the 5 series or the E92 coupe. Maybe the current grill will grow on me. [:)] I'm about to place an order for OD this summer and my dealer said I'd be getting an 07 model, so if anyone has insight...many thanks. [burnout]

From what i know of BMW's pattern, I believe if the coupe is going to be released here as an E90, the front and possibly the back lights will look the same as the sedan of the '06. they dont change much from the '06 sedan to the '07, they might change the taillights and give more options to the car, but nothing drastic. Plus i heard the 335 will be launched as the '07 model but that could be next year. they usually like to keep these cars looking the same so you can categorize them, other then it being a coupe of course. goodluck on ur new car and congrats.

I don't have an answer, but I'd also like to know. Not that I think that the grill on the coupe is that great (I think the grill on the sedan is just fine), but I'm really most interested to see what BMW's going to do with the engines in the sedan. I'd like to see the 330i get the 272hp motor. I'm not sure how I feel about the E90 getting the turbo; I think the engine will be absolutely fine, but the thing that worries me is the price, which I'm sure will be outrageous and well into 530i territory. I'm also in the market for a new ride. Ideally, I would have liked to have gotten a new 5 series, but as much as I've tried, I can't warm up to this model -- the interior especially bugs me. Now a loaded 330 can reach 45k+ pretty easily and even break 50k (as I priced one), so I thought I might just splurge on that. But the 255hp motor was a little weaker than I expected, and I'd also like to move-up to a mid-size ride, and unfortunately, I really feel like A6 is the best German mid-sizer right now in terms of exterior/interior appearance and quality (perfomance now taking a back seat as I get older -- will be 26 in July[clap]). I test drove a 4.2 with the S package and was very impressed. I know most people don't cross-shop these models, but I guess I'm pickier than the usual buyer. I think I might wait til I hear some word on the 07 models, and if it's not to my liking and the price is over the top, I think I might take a ride on the Audi train[eek] .

Let me know if you hear anything from your dealer -- my doesn't know anything about it, and the guy keeps trying to get me into an 06, despite repeated no thank you's.

2006 330i is perfect!

To the person who is interested in the A6:

I personally waited about 9 months for the 330i, even after it came out, I test drove it 3 times and waited 2 months to wait for a better overall deal. Along the Journey to Buying my Perfect Car, I had in mind and test drove many times(and these rank in order from what i liked the most to non-most in my opinion, and they average in price); LEXUS IS 350, INFINITI G35, AUDI A6, MERCEDES C350. I have test drove the A6, and although the engine power might feel better(although its not as smooth and pure as the raw engine of the bmw 330), its not nearly as efficient. The numbers show how fast the 330 is, and in the everyday world, you first of all, get better milage, turn more heads, and if it comes down to it, will burn a A6. I have talked to many dealers in beverly hills and southern california(from what I know they have a better understanding of future projects due to clients demands), and the 335 with its turbo is going to make BMW boost the price of the 3 sufficiently, with only a 35 hp increase. Plus ur mileage will go down a little bit(even though bmw claims the turbo is to save fuel). I could have waited for the turbo version or the coupe, but after seeing pictures of the coupe, I decided the 330i it was. I have had the car for about 3 months(2687 miles) and the car grows on me more and more each day. I used to own a BMW 540i and the power does not lack in my 330 and from a 540 thats saying something. The car actually feels like it drives better everytime I drive it. I have every option in my 330i even heated seats, navigation, every package and I have to admit, my friend that drives a new IS is quite jealous of the interior of my car. He said and I really believe in this, Only a few cars can make you feel like you've made it in this life and a BMW makes you feel that way. A IS is for a younger crowd, and the A6 isnt even on the BMW platou. So take it from me, Buy a BMW and you will not regret it, the person that does, is the person in the IS or A6 that pulls up besides you juse to gawk at your car... Feel proud... ITS A BEAMER....
