Has anyone out there done or heard of putting 245s or 255s on a 330xi? My friend is looking to put this size tires on his 330xi. Is it possible? Thanks!

245's for sure, i dont' know how bit the regular 3 can handle, i know the m3 you can put some serious meat back there, but 245's for sure.

I just put 235s on mine and since the tire is fatter than the stock 225s, the clearance between the tire and rear wheel wells is next to nil. The clearance allowed me to fit only my fingers; my hand stopped at the knuckles. All I'm saying is if the wheels are seated further out, their is slight chance there may be no clearance in the rear. Check it out before you buy.

BTW, I LOVE FAT TIRES! If 245s fit, definitely go with those. [headbang]

I will def tell my friend to look into that. 245s may be out of the question then if there is that little room with 235s. There must be a difference then in the design structure of the coupe vs. the four door. I had 245s in the rear on my 330ci and they looked really well. By the way how does the 235s make the car handle??

LoMo, handling has changed only slightly due more to my change from 17s w/ Sport Package (already sport tuned) to 18s than the increase in tire width. Overall, it feels a bit stiffer and yes I'm more aware of potholes and cautious around speed bumps. However, due to the slight increase in weight, it feels as if though I can't get off the line as fast. What the extra tire width buys is felt in cornering. I feel like spiderman on the side of a building when I take a corner. It's a great feeling sticking to the road!

Also, I could be mistaken but I believe the xi has greater ground clearance than a regular rear wheel drive.
