3.15 Diff for 318is 1995

good day dudes,

if you can help me with this issue i'll be very thankful, i've got a 318is 1995 with manual trans, my diff broke down, i believe that the diff ratio for this model is 3.45 but i've been searching the second hand parts market and what i found is a 3.15 diff.

can you help me with an advice and tell me weither a 3.15 diff fits my car, and what would change in the acceleration?

one more question, if i fix a 17" tyres wuold the car be too heavy.

It would be alot slower if you put 17" plus the 3.15 diff

A lower ratio Diff in a 4 cylinder? You want a car that accelerates slower?

it'd be better on gas though, but over in the UAE i doubt that's a concern? i'd keep looking for the factory ratio, you won't have any speedo/computer issues that way either.

Yeah, I would hope gas in the UAE is inexpensive.

With the smaller ratio you will accelerate slower, but like others say you will get better gas mileage.
