3-Series power seats 01 - 04

Hello all,

I am considering a used 33/325i with power (non-sports) seats. A dealer lent me a 2001 330 without the sport package; my wife found the front seats lacking in adjustments compared to our current vehicle (Saab 9-5). The problem is that in '01 the power seat is a 6-way: no seat rake adjustment, while the '04 has an 8-way seat which allows her to make the seat nearly level (a much healthier way to sit, so she tells me).

So, does anyone know in which year the 330/325 without sport seats began offering 8-way seats?

I should have been more specific: I meant a 325/330 without sport seats. (Original post now edited).
