I've got a 00 323i sport/premium and was thinking about changing the side mirrors. How much trouble is it to get rid of these flat bug catchers and put on something a little sportier. Would you guys recomend m3 mirrors or something else. Please give me your ideas and suggestions. Thanks for the help.

It's very easy to replace the mirrors. It's just a matter of removing the cover on the inside and taking off three screws.
The tricky part is the mirrors have to be compatible with BMW system to have full functions (i.e. tilt, heating). M3 mirrrors will not fit the Sedan, I believe.
Or you can get the "shelss" with the glass and put the old motors in. A little more work, but doable.
