Reference - 323i - 2000

The AC/Heat/Vent blower motor will not operate -- sometimes. Fuse is OK. Assume, maybe incorrectly, there is a connection problem (with the car, not the driver). Have appointment with dealer. Concerned this is open end for them to start replacement of all and everything until by accident they stumble across the problem. Looking for any input from someone that may have experienced the same problem. Thanks - Fussbudge

blower

There are 2 sections to the ac the blower (about $400.00 plus labor!) and I think they call the other a resistor ($100 or so). I had the same thing happen, that ac just quit.
Unfortunatly the blower on mine is on its way out also.

I had the "resistor" go out on my X5, under warranty. The symptom was the blower would come on but at any random speed, no matter what the fan switch said. In other words I could rotate the fan switch, but the fan had a mind of its own. Don't know if this helps.

Thanks - I will see where the dealer leads me. To the bank for a loan to pay for the repair. I am "covered" for 6 years, 100,000 miles. Now I will learn how they get around that. I will advise when I learn more.
