I've been wanting to get some power out of my car for a while now. I dinan chipped it k&N air filter and magnaflow cat back system on it and i got a good bit of power, the other day I hit 137mph. But I want more. How difficult is it to turbo my car? What do I need to know? Thanks, Brian.

Sometimes you just "hit the wall" and the aerodynamics of the car will not allow it to go faster. I am not sure why you would want to go more than 137mph in a 23 year old car?

I don't really want to go faster than 137mph, i just want to get there faster. It takes almost a minute to get up to those speeds.

Yeah well 1 minute for a 23 year old car to get from 0 - 137, not bad. We have cars made today that won't do that. Besides where is it your driving around at MPH and why do you need to get to speed so fast? I understand torque and the feeling of being put back in your seat, but it is a 325e, right!

Iv'e done 135mph in my old 86 325e with the same mods, except my exhaust was from Remus. You're not going to go any faster really. Of course turbo-ing it will help, but I honestly couldn't tell you of a kit just for the 2.7L but it'll probably be the same kit for the 2.5L You're probably better off going to a speed shop and have them custom build one for you. Keep in mind that it'll cost you more than your car is worth (no offence), and your engine will die sooner than later. How many miles on her?

Do it, but when you take the head off to have itrebuilt (good idea if you are boosting an old motor) do the conversion to 327i and turbo that. It will add less than $1k to the build, you'll have essentially a fully rebuilt motor with better compression to run boost, it will be stronger so you can run more boost, and you'll have a 327iT weapon.

Search the web and do some research so you don't sound like a n00b and then go to www.e30tech.com and ask in the turbo forum. Just make sure you have done your research first - if you go in to e30tech and ask a question like the above without doing some reading first you'll get flamed.

Oh, and I forgot; iliad [bash][spank][poke]

Seriously iliad, you need to specialize your questions. There are to many variables in your shotgun appoach. The members her have been pretty kind in their replys. This would not be the case many other places.....

Do some research on what you want to do (ie turbo, motor swap etc...) and then base your questions off your findings. A better understanding of what you want to do will give our members here more information as to the help you are looking for. You will save time too and not spin your wheels.....
