I have a 2003 325I Sedan, Brake Question?
I have the extended warranty and had the front pads changed about 10,000 mile ago and now the indicator on teh dash is on again. I am guessing that the back pads are now needing replaced? Just my luck the car is now 2000 miles out of warranty.

Anyway I am trying to determine what type of pads come from the factor (PBR, Textar or what). Also is the indicator only on one rear wheel. The last question is do the rear rotors have to be changed every time the pads are replaced like I wast told the fronts had to be.

Thanks for any Help.

2003 car and you're over 50K? The Extended Warranty obviously won't help you out with your brakes, you'd need the Extended Maintenance Plan.

There is a single brake wear sensor front (driver's side) and rear (passenger side). I'm around 52K miles myself w/Inspection II due in about 1500 miles and I'm still on the original rear brakes. I'm expecting they'll need to be replaced then. I've got the Extended Maintenance Plan but the brakes are really a pretty basic DIY. Also, rear brake parts are even less expensive than the front!

Yes, over 50K. I am really going to lose on this car when it's time to sell. My wife drives the car about 100 miles a day. This was one of the certified cars so it came with the 100k warranty but only covers brakes to 50k. The fronts were changed at 39k. I think thats pretty good for her mileage every day in Atlanta traffic.

Thanks for Info.
