Just blew two tires on road construction yesterday. Left side front and rear. My tires are probably about halfway worn. I replaced the left side today with brand new OEM CV95's

I have heard that the slight difference in the diameter of the tires (left side new vs right side worn) could cause damage to the AWD system. Has anyone heard anything similar?

Any advice for a forum newbie would be appreciated!!

I highly doubt the slight difference in tire diameter caused by wear will have any effect on your AWD system, however I am not an expert on this and I am sure over a very long period of time it may. Maybe some one with more knowledge than I will chime in here and set us both straight.

Usually people replace fronts or rears.

I just changed all my tires, and the fronts were probably half worn,
but they were replaced anyway to make for better traction in the
coming winter.

One area I don't save money on is tires and brakes.

I see you live in the Northeast as well, and also experience our
lovely winters. :)
