328Ci top speed

What's the actual top speed of the 328Ci? Is the top speed setting of 186mph in the

computer settings realistic or does my car top out at 155mph or 128mph? I've driven my 93

Altima to 124mph, 128 seems kinda slow for a BMW.

128 or 130 is the top speed. Unless you bought the new 3 series ZHP, then top speed would be 155. It is possible for the top speed to be higher but the computer would need to be reprogrammed.

top speeds are limited mostly due to the speed rating of the tire. most have a h-rated tires, which is safe upto 130 mph.

zhps have z-rated, which i believe are safe upto 155 or so.. either tirerack.com or tires.com has the complete listing for speed ratings.. you cna prolly update the software to either shut down or increase the speed governer.
