Hello, I tried posting this in the Newbie Group, but I have gotten 0 response.

Anywho, I just ordered an '05 330ci and I was just wondering what I need to look out for. What issues have people noticed?

I do not have the Step-Tronic. Just a regular 6-speed manual. I did get the Nav system, xenon/adaptive headlights, moonroof, ZHP, Cold Weather Package. No BMW Assist. No built in phone.

Not bragging, just to give a clear picture. Let me hear your experiences!

Rough ride for 330i with performance package

I just pruchased a 330i and love everything about it but the suspension seems to be a bit too stiff. It makes for a rough ride on some rural roads. Anyone have this problem? Is there anything I can do? When I am on main road ride is great.

My dealer told me that the '05 ci's will possibly be the 4-series, I guess not. So the 05's are already out and able to be ordered? Any changes?

'05 3-series

The four-door models are changing to look more like the 5 series. The Coupe's are not changing body styles until the '06-'07 models. There are NO changes for the '05 330ci. I was able to order one, but the final pricing will not be available until late Aug. I am not taking delivery in Nov. anyway. Have to get my SUV paid off first. Don't want two car payments! I THINK that earliest delivery is in September or October.

As far as 4 series name? No idea when that'll happen, but I know mine is a 330ci.

Hope this helps

Just random stuff. No real issues. Control arm is possibly one, although I haven't heard many complaints at all about it. Window regulators and the sunshade clip failing are much more common, but that's minor stuff and isn't likely to be seen on a brand new car.

And give a little more time when waiting for responses. You're posting in the middle of the day when most people are at work. Responses will come.

What do you mean, Control Arm?

Anywho, thanks for the response. The first time I posted this question was many days ago in the Newbie Room. I didn't get fustrated until I waited for a while. It was only when I posted to the 3-series room when I got some responses.

My posts are "off-timed" with other people because I live in Germany. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY CAR AND DRIVE IT HERE!!!! [driving2] [?|]

So the '05 3 series sedan will be an updated body?

I have a couple of reasons for not waiting.

1) Could you really wait in my situation? Living in Germany and getting to drive on the autobahn.

2) I am getting a special military discount. I can only get this while I am stationed in Germany. That is only until June of 2005.

3) I really like the current style.
