The sticker price on my 330i was arouond 45,600 and I got it for around 43,000. I ordered it and it came in about 5 weeks. Well worth the wait to get exactly what I wanted.

The CI is the old E46 model so you can haggle with the pricing. If you want to get a good pricing, go to cars.com, build your car and get an invoice price on exactly what options you want. Go to the Dealer and work from the invoice price up NOT sticker price down.

I think in Boston (is that where you are) the dealers are making about 6% above invoice, I think since there are many dealers in the area, you should definitely shop around for the best deal, I'd say paying a few hundred above invoice (thousands under MSRP) should be possible.

The following is the pricing information from KBB for a base model '06 530:

MSRP
$ 47,495.00

Invoice
$ 43,465.00

New Car Blue
Book Value
What consumers are really paying for this vehicle
$ 46,334.00

So the invoice is around $43.4K for a 530 with no options, and you have a friend who bought a 530 with some options for $40K? I'd say there's some info you aren't telling us about that car. Was it an '05 demo with around 8K miles on the odometer?

Well if you want it cheaper join the army, get stationed in Germany, buy the car for over 2000 under MSRP. You pay no taxes. When you ship it to the states when you return you only pay for the state taxes on a used car. Well I guess we cant all be in the army. LOL good luck getting it cheaper. Sorry was not trying to be mean. [cheers]
