I just checked Edmunds.com and I saw a $2400 cash incentive for the dealer. Is that effective for the 2004 330ci model? If so, can I take the advantage of that offer if I had order my car in April but it's not due at the dealer til late June?

I think you should be able to take advantage of the offer since you haven't settled on price yet ... or have you? Because you haven't taken delivery, the dealership is still working on "selling" you the car.

I can answer your questions, but first, are you going to lease or buy the car when it arrives?

We had verbally agreed on the purchase price of $43k. But I haven't sign anything yet. I just had put down the $1k deposit.

I just checked edmunds again. It's $1200 for the coup and $2400 for the sedan. Still, $1200 is some room to work with.
Thats incorrect, its 2400 for all 330's except verts, and 1200 for 325's except verts.

You should be able to get a piece of it, but Im not sure how much luck youll have since youve pretty much agreed on a deal. You could always drop the ordered car and get on off the lot optioned the same for 2500 less.

Well, I had placed the order back in April and the car won't get here until late June. I saw the period of the incentive is from 6/1 to 6/30. Does that mean when I take delivery or when I initially place the order? Since I haven't signed anything, does that mean technically it's not mine until I take delivery since I can always back out.

I was wondering if I droped the ordered car, wouldn't then become the dealer's inventory. Then would I be able to bargain on the same car?

It's when they sell the car. The incentive is actually from the beggining of May until the end of June, and would apply to your car as long as its Sold during that time.

I went through the same thing, I eventually dropped my ordered car and bought one that was optioned all the way out for the same price with the incentive. Technically your car will be affected by the incentive, but Im not sure how much luck youll have. And you Could drop the order and let the car become their inventory, but I would imagine they wouldnt even come close to dealing with you on it after they figure out what you were up to. Its up to you, your deal is pretty good now, if optioned the car very specificly just take it. If you wouldnt mind finding another one then drop it.

How is it optioned by the way?

The problem is I got the Nav and the dealer had tried to look for others with Nav and the color (Mystic Blue) I want before I placed the order and they couldn't find any.
