I've seen all the posts in the past about speaker buzzing that sounds like a pretty common problem. I have it too (passenger door), and the dealer has tried to fix it twice now. They have just made it worse, even after replacing the speaker. Did anyone have any luck? I didn't see anyone say they got it fixed.

Also, when I go over bumps, there is a noise that sounds like it's coming from where the shoulder belt goes into the pillar. I heard the exact same thing in a 325i loaner. Anyone having that problem? The dealer says they can't even hear the problem when they drive it, but I know it's real, and it's annoying. I just think they can't fix it, so they say they can't hear it.

Haven't noticed it in mine - 10+ months since taking delivery.

My passenger door speaker buzzed on day 1. They replaced the speaker but now it buzzes worse. I have looked at it myself and have determined that the buzzing is coming from the door material. If I tap on the door around the speaker, I can hear the material inside vibrating. I am going to point this out to them next time in.

I don't have the belt/pillar noise, although if I am cruising down the highway with windows wide open, sometimes my belt flaps and the passenger belt flaps if no one is sitting there.

I believe you that it is doing it. Take them for a ride and see if you can make it do it with them in the car. Son's-a-&*^%$..........

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I have to have them in the car with me. I hear it every time I'm in the car, so I don't know how they could miss it. It's very frustrating!

Im getting the same noise from my passenger seat belt area near the pillar.
Annoying and I have no clue what it is.
My front speakers also buzz and sound blown at times.
Still havent gotten around to taking it into the dealer for that yet.

I could write paragraph after paragraph on what has been replaced in my interior........just keep taking it back until it is fixed........my BMW man is named Bill and he drives starting out and I drive coming back, that way he hears all the noises on both sides........Bill does the test drive each time the car is in the shop, so he is familiar with all problems..........they get it all fixed, but it will come back after about a month, so they try again.........as for the speakers, its very common and they keep replacing............as well as the sub-woofer parcel shelf and the speaker in the sub-woofer and the door to the sub-woofer.......my new Michelins were placed this morning, so now the dealership is tightening up everything from the doors, to the windows, speakers, dash instruments, seats.........the Dunlops caused such vibration continually that things always rattled.........my loaner is a 2004 325I, black with tan/black sport interior........218 miles.......pretty cool.......

I just noticed a rattle in my 2002 325I that occurs when I go over small bumps. It sounds like something is loose in the front or rear passenger door. I think it may be the windows because when I put them down the noise seems to almost disappear. It's not very loud but since I noticed it, it's driving me crazy....

I feel for you all. For the most part my 04 cic is pretty quiet...but I have a few friendly little rattles. The one that drives me nuts, comes from the left side (driver's side) pillar that holds the windshield, and connects to the dashboard. When I go over pavement that is not glass-smooth (which basically does not exist in CA), I get this popping/rattling noise. If I place my hand on the pillar, and apply pressure it will make a snap noise, then not rattle for a while. I mean what spells class like having to hold the windshiled pillar on a $51,000 car while you drive like this????? bayerische Technologie!!!!! Wir müssen die Deutschen lieben!!!!

I have noises that sound like cracking... not so much rattling. They are incredibly annoying. I just scheduled a trip in to the dealership and I'm hoping they can find it/repair it. It sounds like the rear seat is loose, or the shelf in the back is loose. My interior sometimes gets moody and sounds like it's snap, crack and popping all over the friggen place, so I hope there isn't some weird torque on the frame from construction.

Any of you with the noise from the window/pillar area have the cold weather package with the ski storage? I have a creak/rattle that emanates from that area when going over bumps that dissipates when the windows are down. I have discovered that the noise is actually coming from the back seat, the fold down/pop out ski storage area. If you have this fold down the arm rest and bump it with your fist and see if this is the same noise you are hearing. It only sounds like its coming from the window/pillar area because with the windows up the sound reflects off the glass giving the appearance it’s coming from that area.

Guys, I have tons of interior noises as well that are quite annoying but you can't always let these things affect you so much. I just crank up the music and I don't hear a pin drop.

Heck, sometimes I drive with the music off just to hear the engine purr and the noises don't seem to be bother me at all mainly because I don't let them bother me! :)

I forgot to add, it is after all just an automobile built by machines manned by human beings so these things are to be expected.

Ofcourse, if each BMW were hand crafted and sent down from God then I'd definitely complain about the noises! *I just woke up*

Noises!

I have a similar noise at times that is quite annoying. I agree, it sounds like it is coming from the pillar (a sort of loose clunking when I drive over bumps) There was another maddening sound that I have thankfully found the source of: my passenger seat belt buckle was banging against the center console (when no one was in the seat). Now I just tuck it between the seat and the console...one problem solved.
