I'm about to purchase an Imola Red 330Cic with the performance package but have ground to a halt over the interior color. I believe black looks best but it will be very hot during the North Carolina summer. Natural brown looks great too but I'm worried about the it looking too orange with the Imola Red. The other choice is Sand but that is almost too much tan and gets dirty easily.

Does anybody have any pics of Imola Red with Natural Brown or Sand? I've seen it in Black.

330cic interior

Trust me...get black without a doubt. I just traded my 2003 E320 for my 2004 330cic (titanium silver with black leather). My E320 had ash nappa leather, which was a super-light gray, almost white leather, and the carpet and door sills were in matching cloth.....I struggled EVERY day to keep it clean...it made driving it so unenjoyable.....

So get black, not only for the cleanliness factor,,,,but it is really the only colour that looks right with red. Good luck with your new 330ci. I totally am infatuated, and in awe of mine. Freude am Fahren[wave]

Personally, I think Sand is the best color with red but having just gotten rid of a car that had Sand colored interior, I would have to say go with the black. Sand is horrible to try to keep clean. It shows every little piece of dirt.

I now have a Silver with black leather 330ci and I love it! I keep my car clean anyway but it sure is easy with that black interior.

Good luck with your car! I am also one of the owners in awe of my 330ci. I practically get a rush everytime I shift a gear! lol!!

Black. Sand looks like a budget interior and the grey looks like light blue.

Only thing with black is that every ounce of sand is noticable on the carpets.

Still, black is sweet. Just pop the sunroof when you lock it up to keep it ventilated during the hot weather.

I went with the light grey leather interior with the black cube trim on my ZHP. The one thing I did do was to have the dealer exchange the grey floor mats for black ones before taking delivery. I like the grey with the black trim and black headliner. I have no problem keeping it clean. I've burnt my rear too many times with a black interior and having it attract dust particles. The weather here is a lot hotter (115+) and the sun a lot stronger longer in summer than other parts of the country. Black does look nice but be aware of what you are getting into. The black will absorb more of the sun's rays and you should take more frequent care of it to prevent it drying out etc. especially in a convertible.

You can tint the windows all you want Cabra but I think you forgot he is getting a ragtop and black seats with the top down in the daytime is HOT. I've had convertibles and been in N Carolina in summer that while not quite as hot as summer in Las Vegas is still hot. Yes, while a black interior is a nice choice for many parts of the country it is not always the best choice.

I vote for sand (light beige) as well.

As far as keeping the light floormats clean, just get the BMW all-weather
mats, they're only $50 and look great:

We went with the Sand and have been happy thus far. We also use the BMW all weather mats as per William330. The natural tan was ok but did not like the black tonneau cover or carpet. When you walk up to the sand or natural, the colors invite you into the car. With black you are looking in a black hole. No one can make the decision for you, get what you think will do best for you. Sand was the color of choice for us.

IMHO....the sand shows all the scuff marks from shoe heels............the black shows every spec of dust.....with the March winds right now, I have to clean the inside on a daily basis since I ride around all day with the top down.....I would still choose black over sand for my BMW experience.........all the guys are right, only you can make that decision..........

I have something called Exact-A-Mat in my cars. The BMW has a black interior so it's not a big deal, but other cars like the Stone (light tan) in the Mercedes show dirt SO easily. The mat is clear and is like the clear plastic stuff you use at a desk for the chair to roll over. It's great cuz it helps keep the mats clean while still showing off the color.

Still, with a red car, I like a black interior. Sand would be my second choice though.
