Can anyone please provide info on the mpg a 330d will give. Also, would anyone recommend the 330d? and why?

Are you talking about a 2006 model? I cannot find anything listing the mileage ratings for a 330d, have you tried calling your local BMW dealer?

One good points of desiel is the engines typically last longer than petrol. It is not uncommon in Europe to see desial Mercs, BMW, VW with 200K, 300K on them. The engines are not as fast at 0-60 which is why alot of them are TD (turbo). As far as mileage you will be around 45 mpg (US gallon) I guess.

As a happy owner of 330d, 135kw, 2001, the consumption is between 7,6 l /100km and 8,2 l/100km... I definitely recommend this, the first reason is that the torque (410 nm) is higher than at Porsche 911 (2001), the elasticity is enormous, and the diesels may run and withstand much more kms than classic fuel engines... the last reason - tak a look at the latest 330d with 160kw, this engine is in all aspects a miracle, better than 330i!
