I went from a Honda Accord 4 cyl into a 330i and it was like a jet plain for the first few months. Now that I have gotten used to it, I'm no longer impressed by the power. I guess I need to go to the M3 now!!! LOL.

Seriously, in my head I think is somthign wrong with the way my car runs? it doesn't have the get up and go any more, or the high speed power. When I have freinds in it they are always impressed, but to me it seems slugish. I'm 99% sure it is just me getting used to the car, maybe I need to drive a Yugo for a week or so to get the feeling back.

Anyone else feel like this? As my car is not even a year old and has 15k miles there is no doubt that anything other then my head is wrong with the car.

I know what you are saying. For me I think I have become more aware of a lot of other cars that just seem to be getting faster. I feel like BMW is falling behind because every time I look there are more and faster cars available or in the planning process.

that'll happen in any car. I drive my friend's C32 enough and it starts to not feel that fast. It's just in your head. Drive a minivan for a bit and your car will feel like a rocket again. I am forced to drive a Dodge Caravan that's only a 4cyl and 3spd auto on occasion so my slowish 325 still feels pretty good cuz my mental speedo gets reset to the Dodge speed.

Yes. I had the same reaction to my Boxster S after a few months. Anyone will become jaded after being exposed to the same thing for a period of time, no matter how "good" it is. One cure is to drive the car on a twisty mountain road in second gear. Haven't yet done that in the M3 yet, but it really cured by Boxster Blues a few weeks ago. I now drive the Boxster with more appreciation and respect.

Hmmm - It sounds weird but I only have a 1992 325i auto and it feels fast to me. I know it's not a fast car, but I've had it for over a year now and it just feels even faster than it ever did.

I just make sure I drive it hard all the time and also work on it constantly to make sure everything is working great. Downshift and take it to the redline, don't slow down as much going into the corners and downshift and accelerate out of the apex. I love my car and the thrill hasn't gone away yet. I've driven much faster cars but none have been as fun to drive as mine. I know that it probably isn't true from a technical standpoint but I really am in love with this car so it will always be the best for me.
