I'm considering getting the 330I performance package versus the 330CI coupe performance package (coming out in april 2004)

Anybody have an idea about the difference in cost? Already the 330I performace package has an MSRP of 42K...and the M3 has an MSRP of about 46K....It seems like they can't go up in price much more. Any news on hidden rebates?

Also are there any aftermarket signals for the 330I performance package (the red/yellow/red scheme looks ugly)? Can't find any...and can't believe they moved away from the sport look of the euro lights on the "performance package". [:(!]

Any comments????[:)]

I mean if u have the dough get the M3 its allot faster. However, i just got a 330i pp and i love it. Its faster than the regular 330 and the wheels / aero kit make it look agressive. Its a 4 door sedan but it looks very sporty. Also, consider how many doors u need. If u need 4 doors or if u dont have the dought then go for 330zhp ull be happy. If u got the money and u dont care about the doors then def get the M3.

My 330pp was $40,000 VOB BMW rockville MD gave me a good deal. Unfortuantly i had to wait two months for it.... good luck

Geez,

I will be honest, if I did all over I would have just went all out M3...the $$$ creeps up so fast, you may as well have lobster with your steak.

All the 3's are nice, but you know what I mean...a little xtra you get it all 333hp's worth.

really depends on what you need. i'm perfectly happy w/ mine, but yea m would've been even better. altho you have to figure out what's important, i like the 4 doors and the looks (altho an m is saweeet), and i'm not out to race anyone.. and if you aren't the type to like harsh rides from a super stiff springs, zhp might be a good compromise.

the zhp tops out around 44, add 2 more for a nav, but a well equipped m will go mid to upper 50s, so you gotta think about that too.

w/ the zhp you can option: leather, sun roof, xenons, cold package and nav? they come pretty decked out.

no clear out lights, but think either bryan or someone did it, i'll go look for the link. looks pretty sharp, all euro spec and all..

yeah, I'm pretty sure i'll be getting the 330i performance package. The M3 probably is just out of my price range, especially when it chews up gas the way it does, and also the fact that insureance for it in Calfionia will probably be 3K a year. (the 330I will be about 2K)

the interesting thing is that BMW now has the price range closed from 27K all the way up to the high 50K for the 3-series. I think that they would be hard-pressed to demand more than 42K for the upcoming 330CI coupe performance package, since why would consumers not just go with the base model M3?

Now i just need to find the euro-style aftermarket light scheme...I don't think it exists yet...

I just ordered the 2004 330Cic Convertible with the ZHP package for April delivery a little while back to be first on the list. I heard from my salesman that they are going to have an optional SMG (Sequential Manual Gearbox) with the ZHP package.

I'm just too relaxed of a driver to drive the M3. But then again, I do like some good sportiness and atlethism from time to time. That's why I ordered the ZHP.

Wow !!

I am soooo happy for you !! The 330Cic even without the ZHP, is very snappy and an absolute blast !!! I do love driving her. The ZHP is a great bonus, one I would opt for also, be careful with the SMG, Its personal etc.. but I didnt like the feel as well as the traditional 6-sp, but either way..I am jazzed for you ! [thumb]

I just rec'd my hardtop also, will post when I get some pics. I will play "coupe" mode till the Oregon Rains let up.

[cheers]

Sorry "flashinthepan" but I just got out of the ZHP order and switched it to the M3 Convertible. Even though I'm a relaxed driver, I just love the look of the M3 and the extra 100 extra HP.

before i even knew about the zhp, there was a 6k mile certified topless 2001 imola red m3 on the dealer lot. i just melted right then and there. i actually never wanted something sooo bad in my life. but even with it being used and all, it was still 53k. needless to say, it was pretty darn expensive, and being in michigan and all, convert didnt' seem all that smart, but oh man did i want one!! while i love my 10k less zhp, just thinking about it makes you wonder, how bad is it really to work an extra 10, 20 hrs a week to pay that off? [:D]

simply put, the m3 is beautiful, and i'm glad they didnt' go the way of the 04 coupe and retained the original e46 coupe headlight look. nothing against you 04 coupe owners, but i still can't stand the headlights on that.. altho the new grill/bumper does look better..
