hmmm, it should be 38. Its the maximum temp when black ice can form on bridges...

The memo is like time. So it chimes at the time you set like an alarm clock. There is also one that you can set a max speed and it chimes whne you go to fast. Then there is CODE. THe only one I have ever used, like in the ghetto.

Ryan, you must be talking about if you have the OBC. I don't have CODE and I can't personalize the Memo in my '87 that doesn't have an OBC. According to the owner's manual for my car, the Memo function (on a non-OBC car), will emit a beep whenever it is one minute before the hour - so it beeps at 1:59, 12:59, 11:59, etc. The manual says that the purpose of this is so that you can be reminded of a radio show that begins on the hour and give you time to change the radio station.

I noticed the 38 degrees warning for the first time the other day - it caught me by surprise too.

According to the owner's manual... memo does the following: It dings at 36 to warn of the possibility of freezing temperature in the near future and with it, ice. It dings 15 seconds before the hour so that you can "tune in to a radio program" without missing the beginning.

Isn't that what I said? [confused] Plus, you do not have to have the Memo function activated to get the ding at 38 degrees. I don't have memo turned on, and mine dinged at me the other day, flashing the temperature of 38 degrees to me.
