A donor E30 M3 or a healthy checking account to do it right. It is a lot to have to buy the parts outright. M parts are not cheap. Adapters when available are not recommended in any way.

As far as I know the only one is the E30 M3. Possibly someone else has found something different. Why change from 4 bolt? You can get almost any size you want in a 4 bolt. You will not be allowed to use adapters at the track.

I suspect any adapter will also have a detrimental effect on the offset. Are the wheels you like compatible with or are you have to combine adapters with spacers. In any case you will need different (longer) lug bolts. I would not go that route, its asking for trouble. If you are going to spend for BBS wheels they better have the right offset. I would think that if they had the right offset they would be available for BMW. Remember, not all 5 bolts have the same circle. If you want 5 bolt and they are compatible, get the M3 setup its (a lot) safer. Anyone else have ideas?

EVO 1 and EVO 2 are M3 versions unless you are referring to a M-Technic factory aero body kit. That kit to my knowledge does not include 5 bolt wheels and is hard to find and expensive. All E36s have 5 lugs including the M3. The easiest, find a donor E30 M3. You will also find that some engine and body parts are only available in certain countries due to marketing, emission certifications and "safety" equipment such as different glass and lighting. The Honda 4 x 100 wheels require a different centering ring insert for the wheel. When I got my Borbet Type C wheels from from my son's Honda Prelude I called the Tire Rack and they sent me new rings at about $3+ each. The offset was no problem at 38 mm.

go to your BMW parts dealer and have a look at the eletronic parts catalog,
you will notice that 318ti's & some Z3's run the same rear wheel bearings as the E30, therefore you should be able to use their drive flanges on the rear to go to 5 lug.
On the front do the E36 front suspension swap, I have also heard that E30 M3 hubs & bearings fit on the E30 spindles, can't confirm that though.

Let us know what you find

Back in the eighties I believe the BMW plant in S Africa was just an assembly plant and it may still be. It received parts from Germany and assembled them in that country to save a lot of money on duty charges. There were a few different engine, body and chassis combos not available elsewhere but they could not be exported from SA.
