I have a 2001 325xi that is in need of new tires. I don't do much performance driving but am looking for a good all weather tire that will also give me good wear. The new Goodyear Assurance TripleTred seem to be a very good tire based on Tire Rack's reviews. Has anyone actually tried them and what do you think? Also should I stick with the stock 205/55R16 or move to a 225/50R16? I am running the OEM rims.
Thanks for the help.

I live in VT and use Nokia all season (WR, I think) 205/50R17 93V XL. They're pretty good in snow and mud, Ok on ice (harder tread compounds). Just took a southern trip with decent mpg over 1600 miles. Expect to get approx. 30,000 miles on them

PZero Nero M&S are good all-season tires, and one of the highest rated tires in it's class at www.tirerack.com

225's would 'fit' fine in the wheel well, but how much tire you have hanging over the rim is a good question. Too much, and you'll increase your tire wear, and chance of popping one when cornering aggressively.

What are the exact demensions of your wheel? 16x7, 16x7 1/2, 16x8?

[thumb] I have to second Section 8, the P-Zero Nero M&S is a awesome all weather ultra high proformance tire, my very next choice is the Toyo Proxes 4. It just as good a tire as the P-Zero only cheaper to purchase. Just my two and a half cents. Happy Motoring...
