I got another nasty noice coming from under my car...
When I am driving and gettign close to 1900 rpm, there is a metal clicking noice coming from under-driver_side-rear of the car, as if a loose metal part is getting into resonance and bouncing against some other part. I thought that it might be the muffler or some of it's components getting into resonance, since the muffler is old and rusted.
But strangely enough there is no such noice coming when the car is not moveing and I am revving the engine...
There is another noice which is coming from approximately the same place when the car is on the neutral and I am revving the engine sharply within the band of idle(600)-2500. It has higer frequency and isn't as loud as the clicking and it is just staying for a couple of seconds. It doesn't happen when I am revving up slower or in higher rpm band...
Any ideas what thoes sounds can be coming from??? THey MAKE ME CRAZYY, especially the first one[mad] [mad] [mad] .
I changed the exhaust hanger the other day(8 $ for a small rubber piece[eek], I broke my hands doing that crawled underneath the car, and at one point had to support all the exhaust with my had [B)] ) and still no change...
Any suggestions???

eh, yeah but it's ok, i saw your response to chris over on e3s.

if you want help with your spelling, type it up in MS Word or soemthing, run a spell check, then just copy & paste it onto the forums

back on topic: take chris's advice... rattles are tough to pin down [?|] . i had a nasty rattle when in an accelerating right hand turn for about 3 months before i found out it was the heat shield on the top of my catalytic converter [?|]
