About how much would insurence be?

I realise there are many variables here, but I was hoping you guys could estimate about how much insurence would be if:
a) New male driver (aged 16-17), just got his licence, first car
b) Lives in MA

The car would be either a 325i, 325iS, or M3 (all E30's). About how much difference would each one cost to insure? The 325i is the cheapest I assume, and M3 being the most. How much difference is there realistically? About how much do you think yearly rates would be? Are there any websites that would find me these rates?

These numbers really don't have to be exact, just make your best guess based on your own rates or anything you've heard.

Thanks!

You can go to www.geico.com enter your info and get a quote within 24 or 48 hours but they might not give you one since you are a new driver. I heard progressive gives quotes too so you might want to check that out. Also, insurance varies on the city you live in quite a lot. I live about 7 miles from where I lived before and insurance is about two thirds of what I had to pay before. Your best guess would be to find a 325i, 325iS and an M3 about the year you want to buy on cars.com or something and get a quote with that VIN number, thats how I did it.

Thanks! I did it with Progressive for the 325is and the M3, the rates are actually fairly close (I was expecting like a thousand dollar difference...)

Here's how I planned it:

Driver Information
ME
MA
DA

Birth Date:
02/14/1987
04/30/1953
08/24/1953

SDIP Rating:
9
9
9

Bodily Injury:
$20,000 person / $40,000 accident

Property Damage:
$5,000 / accident

Personal Injury Protection:
$8,000 / person

UM Bodily Injury:
$20,000 person / $40,000 accident

UIM Bodily Injury:
No coverage

Medical Payments:
No coverage

With 1989 325is Manual: $1,746

With 1989 M3: $2,067

Do these seem about right?

There are so many variables with insurance it's not funny. All i can say is that, in OZ, the insurance companies screw drivers that are under 25. For example, full comprehensive insurance for my BMW E30 would be around $2,500 [/I]per annum... if i didn't know a few people... [hihi]

Hmm. I'm getting full coverage on my car (I'm 18..my insurance hasn't changed since I got my license) which is a 1988 325is and it costs me $1600 a year.

Yeah and they all have to be converted to right-hand drive which, to me, makes it a little suss since it's independent entities that are doing it...

Go the 3.8L E34 M5 every time [headbang]
