Is anybody using AC Schnitzer aluminium pedals (or any other aluminium pedals)? I hear different views - some says it gives better grip; others feel it is more slippery.

Great question. I was thinking the same thing myself. I'm getting ready to order the Hamann ones because it appears to have more stubs for better grip. The AC Schnitzer appears to just have diagonal grooves so I don't know how they could catch as well. I also looked at the BMW aluminum ones but they don't look so attractive. Let us know what you end up doing. Also, instead of the Hamann Dead Pedal, I'm thinking about getting the M3 Aluminum dead pedal.

Holy cow enthusiast, they look sharp and are dirt cheap. Too bad I already ordered my Hamann's. What brand is it? I've never heard of Bimmian. Are they reputable. Saw a pre-painted Lip Spoiler for $150--sounds too good to be true.

I've got replica M-tech pedals that look just like those, but they have an ///M on them. I feel funny with them on my 325 because of the ///M, but I like the silver look much better. What is that blue and red paint on those? Is it a word or just a symbol? I may just buy them if they don't say anything.

The //M on mine is etched and painted in color. They're nice looking, but not necessarily with my interior.

Bimmian is located in Canada. For a little while, they seemed to have some customer service issues. Last I heard, things were alright with them again though. Since they are in Canada, you may have to wait a little while for the shipping.

When you order them, make sure you ask them what type of hardware comes with them. I just put my Hamann's on, and the brake pedal was a sun of a gun because it's metal, and Hamann provided me with crappy screws. These screws worked fine on the clutch and accelorator since they're plastic pedals. Anyway, had to make a pit stop at Home Depot for some solid machine screws and nuts. I think Hamann is crazy expecting you to screw these onto the metal brake pedal without nuts. For those interested, it was a 1 hour job that should've been 30 minutes. Bavauto says that Hamann never includes instructions....

Love the look though.... [headbang]

Hamann AL pedals with 'M' AL Dead Pedal

Here it is. The 'M' Dead Pedal was a son of a B to do since it is attached to the plastic side molding; took quite a bit of research on the Bentley manual and a call to the local service department before I figured out how to do it (didn't come with any instructions).
