Bimmer magazine (Nov 2003) had a favorable article on activeautowerke (www.activeautowerke.com) supercharging of a 330ci. The increases in horsepower, torque, and 0-60 is extremely impressive and the price is reasonable. Has anyone gone in this direction for performance tuning or know someone who has. I would be interested in your opinion. Thanks...

Performance Increases

Real Wheel Horsepower Increase = 88.6 @ 6,500 RPM's
Torque Increase = 51.7 @ 1750 RPM's
0-60 = 4.8
Price = Approx $6,500
Increases Electronic speed limit to 160mph

Few people supercharge their BMW's, that's why you haven't gotten a response. A nicely-loaded 330i is $42K or $43K, plus a $6,500 supercharger, is a $49K total which is well into M3 category. Most people would rather have an M3 than a supercharged 330i (that voids your warranty and is a lot of $$$ to dish out aftermarket).
