This past weekend I purchased a 1999 323i. I'm pretty happy with it but I'm new with the features and stuff like that of this car. I was just wondering if every BMW has a computer that tells you the temp outside or how much gas there is still left in the car etc. because I have a booklet that is for the 99 models but it also involves the 328i which I know has more standard features but if anyone knows what kind of things comes with a 323i I would appreciate it... Thanks

Same features for the 323/328 it just depends on what overall package your car came with, and what the original owner may have had added in addition to a package or the stock setup.

There are a few posts here that cover a lot of the nifty tricks and 'easter eggs' that BMW's come with that if you're a first time owner (And not a brand new owner), you may not know about, or may not have been shown to you at the dealership.

What are you curious about on it? I have a 5spd '00 323i, our cars are gonna be the same, again except for whatever packages they each have.

The thing that Im interested in is in the booklet it talks about the turning signal lever if you have the key in position 1 or 2 and you push it inwards different things come up on the little screen where the km's appear while you drive. Now I was wondering is that standard on these cars do some not have this option....... and because you have a 00' 323i is there anything that you have found on this car that I should know about. Little tricks and things like that..... Also my car has a premium pkg on it

See you're ahead of me on the package deal, I don't get that nifty feature in my blinker controls, I have to manually cycle through my few options with the odometer control and the other on the right side of the driver dash. I am pretty sure my car is 'stock' - no PP or SP or any cool package, or even add-ons.

Here's another tips/tricks page, I posted it but I think I grabbed the meat of the info from one of the 2 posts that Codex linked to above.
