Guys, any advice on strut bar?

You know the bar that goes holds the front two struts? Are there really that good as they say? I want a tighter steering wheel....Will i get that from a STRUT BAR?

Also, where do you bye them from?

How's the installation? Too much work?

The strut bar will probably be one of the easiest mod to add. There is a host of companies out there that make strut bars.

Just to name a few:
AC Schnitzer (ACS)
Active AutoWerke (AATuning)
Dinan
UUC Motorwerks
Racing Dynamics

Personally I would go with Dinan, but any will do. Installation requires removing 6 bolts and installing the strut bar.

No. You will not get a "tighter steering wheel" from a strut bar under normal and moderate driving conditions.

Under *hard* cornering, the strut towers flex slightly and the alignment goes out a bit, causing the steering to be less precise. The strut bar simply distributes the flex stress to both towers equally & keeps the front wheels sync'ed in alignment during hard cornering, and to a much less degree, on very rough roads.

Under normal everyday driving conditions, you will not notice a difference, unless you drive cloverleafs at 80+ mph on a regular basis, or make a habit of high speed escapes from the police.

You will notice it if you run autocross or other forms of racing, and they do look nice under the hood.

Dan had to throw that in because he likes letting his hair down and driving on the twisties every weekend. [:p]

Hehe every chance I get! There are some nice roads here in Hawaii as well, but way too much to ship the car. Rented a HD Road King instead!
