Does anyone know if an aftermarket CD player, such as the Alpine CHAS634 (that also plays MP3's), would be compatible with the in dash unit (so the in dash unit controls would work with it)?

Car is on the boat (since May 17)...waiting patiently.

WOW. That was quick. Next questions-does pushing the cd button on the radio toggle between the in dash single cd and the changer? (I think my old Acura TL worked that way.)
How do you change discs? Is there a remote?

Depending on what equipment you are getting (nav?), the way to toggle between the two may vary. But you WILL be able to toggle between them from a button on the dash. You change discs by pressing the station select buttons (1 to 6) to directly access each CD. There is no remote.

BTW, on the steering wheel, up/down does track up/down. All other controls are done from the dash (random, FF, RW, etc).
