I own a 2003 325xi, the Air Conditioning recently went out, is it safe for me to use the Arctic Freeze 134a with gauge, what other tools/techniques can I use to troubleshoot the possible cause?[hatchet] Where can I get a copy of the Technical Manual? Thank you for your help!

If your AC quit working, it most likely needs more than freon. You either have a leaky hose or your compressor is bad. When it comes the the AC, it's best to have it check out by an AC shop or the dealer.

Exactly right, how did your AC "go out", if it is not cold than it needs to be checked for leaks, resealed, vacuumed and refilled. If it quit working all together it may need a new compressor, clutch, etc. I would only let a professional work on my AC.

Hey Coldbore76. I have a 2003 330i and my air went out with 40k miles. Turns out my evaporator coil and expansion valve were leaking. Are you noticing a "mediciney" smell when you run your AC? Look at my post that I put out here earlier. I was lucky and Classic BMW ended up covering everything with a goodwill adjustment. Hopefully your situation isn't as serious.
