Alarm Disrupts my Autolock?

I just installed an original BMW alarm on my E46, 2004 sedan. Alarm seems to work well. However, if I stopped my car and unlock my door, it will not autolock once I start moving again, despite having passed 25kph speed. Autolock will only trigger first time, i.e. start engine and drives off. Is this normal?

Hmmm...I never really paid attention to that before. After you disarm it, try opening and closing the door to see if the autolocks engage. If it does then it's probably normal.

if it came without an alarm and you installed it how did you code it the car might have to be coded for the alarm all the alarms i installed on e 46s had to be coded once installed

The alarm was installed by BMW, so they would have done the necessary coding. Today, I noticed that my left mirror do not tilt down on reverse mode. Will observe for a few more days before going back to BMW.

Other than these, the alarm siren sounded good - a rather distintive sound that can be differentiated from other alarms sirens. Motion detector also tested to be working.

Can I install a universal remote control in my E46 4-door sedan? Where is a good place to order, with shipping to Singapore?
