alignment, do it before track day, or after?

my local bmw cca chaper, (motorcity BMWCCA is hosting a trackday event next week.

i got her checked up a local shop that was sponsoring the event, and it revealed that there is a slight misalgnment in the rear wheels. (i think i had it from the beginning, but went in past the free 2k alignment period..

anyway, i got my 15k check up coming up, so at the same time i wanted to get the wheel alignment done for $159 at the dealer. (local shop's asking around $250 for the task.)

but what i'm wondering is, since the alignment is only a little off, should i do it before the track event or after?

I would get it done before the event, every little bit of fine tuning helps. There's no reason to wait - track day won't knock it out of alignment, unless you hook up with the wall or another car!

I concur with Kirby on this. When you track your car your going to want it as perfect as possible, get it done now!
