with the seasons changing, I'd like to get an all weather rubber mats to protect the carpet. I have a sand interior with sand carpeting and the only rubber mats is see are black. Where can I find sand/beige rubber carpets ?

Also one more thing, I have an OEM alarm and if the alarm is armed and I open it with the spare, the flimsy plastic key, (in case I lose my key) how can I disable the alarm from going off ?

Thanks

Thanks Tom!

I ordered the Weathertech rubber mats. Kinda expensive for the set but sounds durable and will do a good job protecting the carpet.

Before you pay for those mats, take a look at the Circle BMW website. They have some decent mats in the parts department that are much less expensive, though I'm not sure you can get them in the sand color.

I looked at Owners circle and they only have them in black for about $56 . My interior is sand color so just for looks I went with Weathertech. Man I already spent a lot on the car might as well give her the best. I got delivery of her last Friday.

Snow- How's your new car ?

The car is everything I expected, and than some. My main concern was that the car would be slightly underpowered, but that is not the case. It has a lot of energy, though if I was getting an automatic I would not have gotten the 325. I think the 0-60 times are probably less than the impression you get when you are in the car because the torque is evident from first all the way through fourth. I used to have a Maxima, and the pull on the 325 seems pretty close to that car but smoother and much more refined, especially since the Maxima was front wheel drive and the front end jumped under severe acceleration. The only thing that is taking some time to get used to is the high engagement point on the clutch. Other than that, it's a freekin' well oiled German machine.

How is your ride?

Snow--

the car is just AWESOME. On Friday when I got it, drove about 100 miles. Tried to find the twistiest roads to see what it can do. Blew my mind away. So tight and so controlled and I didnt even realize I was going very fast. I am so thrilled now, that looking back at the wait for the car, makes it all worth it man. That nite I must have watched the video that came with it about 2 times. There are so many features available that my brain cannot absorb all of it at once. Must have been all the excitement. I am still smiling just thinking about it

Tyler - I picked up a set of BMW all season floor mats from my parts department two weeks ago. Roughly $50 for the front set, $30 for the rear. They had black, gray, or beige to choose from so you may want to check your dealership out first! [:)]

thanks mscoins. I have the same car as you only in Mystic Blue. Love it a lot. I can't stop smiling when driving it. People are now starting to look at me, or maybe my car. Hey I now love to drive anywhere, run errands, go to the store, even sitting in traffic. Hey whatever it takes to sit in my car makes me happy.

Do the Weathertech mats fit correctly in the second row? The website says "can be customized to fit". Also, anybody have the Bavarian Autosport all weather mats, do they compare? The BMW all weather mats look too shallow and I don't want melted snow running all over the place. Opinions?

The BMW mats are awesome and fit to the exact millimeter.

Head into the dealer and take a look at some.

They're $50 for the fronts, which is not bad.

I love 'em.
