2 questions:
does anyone have any good info. on what possible damage (immediate or long term) could occur by:
1) installing tires that are taller than OE
2) and/or tires front and rear being different rolling diameters (235/35-19 - 25.5" front, 265/30-19 - 25.3" rear)
the vehicle is an '01 325xiT.

i have a LOT of customers (with AWD) requesting sizes that are larger than OE and, in almost every case, staggered front to rear with slightly varying rolloing diameters. most of my customers, however, don't keep they're cars very long and don't care about what they are doing to them (or even know for that matter). this is my first AWD to put wheels on and i intend on taking care of it, but at the same time i need represent my business well and the E46 looks significantly better with about an inch more width in the back. any thoughts?

I would think this would be a very bad idea, as most AWD systems require equal sizing all around. I know from experience that the DSC or ASC systems will activate and make driving difficult if the sizes are off from factory. You can plus size without changing the overall diameter. Most sites like Discount Tire and Tire Rack have plus size calculators.
