Another IPOD ?

Okay you all know I found the cord to support an IPOD....so I bought a refubished IPOD mini from Apple and it works just fine. When I plug it in it just starts playing from the first song on the ipod though, I can't skip around, well I can foward and reverse through the songs but I can't skip to the next album on it. Am I missing something?

Yes you are. You can't just connect it and browse through the IPOD. The IPOD/BMW works off of playlists that you setup. I'd suggest seeing the official site and grabbing the manual. The site/manual should answer all the questions you have.

you have to name your playlists, bmw1 - bmw5. they correspond to the radio btns 1-6. 6 is where they play every song in your ipod, i think its alphabetical.

if yer big into playlists, and often change them, then its great. if you are like me and never touch the playlist, it sort of sucks..
