I swear, this is really getting on my nerves. This is the second break-in to my car in the last 4 months. Both times for the stereo, even though this time there was no face plate and all of my CDs. We moved after the first break-in, now I've got the problem again. I guess I'm going to have to get a really good alarm and maybe CCTV my parking space. Hell, I've even though about hidding a mini cam inside the car, it wouldn't cost that much to do so.

Maybe I should just get one of those foreign - illegal type - theft deterent systems. Like the ones that cut you off at the ankles, or shoot taser prongs into your nuts and they add 100,000 volts. [boxface]

Damn that sucks, price you pay for living in a big city like San Jose. I've had my PIAA's stolen twice on my old car in a parking garage downtown.

there is a system that smokes the hell out of the interior. i think it acts like a fire extinguisher in that it cuts o2, dont know how long it lasts though. but safe on the interior.

the other is a torch system that mounts on the sides, under the car. when it was being demo'd on tv years ago, they used a white 4dr e30 - like mine, only reason i remember the system. but it taps into the fuel line and shoots out a 4 foot flame next to the car... hmm, they were advertising hiw it was completely legal........... better have a good lawyer anyway.

and of course you wouldnt want either of these systems to malfunction, if you get what i mean.

more realisticly, extremely annoyingly loud alarms are a good deterrent

Get some old magneto coils and put it on the door. that will blast the shit out of anyone, they hurt like a bitch. Was your car broken into at the same place? Kids used to mess with my car until I sat on my roof at night for a couple weekends withe frozen paintballs and the PSI cranked. I agree with xLibelle though. Just get a REALLY REALLY obnoxiously loud alarm. Put the speakers or what ever it uses under the seats so it makes it almost unbearable to sit in with the alarm going off. Your window might get broken but they will probably leave the system.

Well, insurance won't pay for it, the repair was less than the deductable. $150 installed. Also, on a really pathetic note, the stereo only cost me $15. I got the deck for free from my friend and spent that $15 on a new wiring harness and trim plate. So, needless to say the insurance doesn't care about the radio since I have no receipt for it.

I'm more upset about the window than the deck. What's worse is the fag stole the deck without the damn faceplate....what a friggin retard.

Sorry...I'm still mad about it.
