Cabra, the link doesn't take me straight to the tires. Have you tried searching Yahoo! or Google for reviews on this tire? Usually, smaller tire companies charge less for their tires in order to make sales because people really rely on brand names when it comes to purchasing tires.

Semperit beongs to continental and is an at least german speaking brand. i am not sure if they are austrian, swiss or german.

i have never tried them yet, but my idea about em is....cheap tire. in some tests they make good results, but certainly not the same league as conti or michelin

semperit is very good tire ... subsidiary of continental
its a austrian company ... tires made in czech rep or portugal depending on
sizes .. i got 225/45/hr17 (czech rep) handles very good in slow and ice ..
extremely well in dry .. good in wet ... fair in slush (i wonder what tire handles
good in slush) ... quiet ride (even quieter than stock conti sport summer)
i did a lot of research before i bought it ... a lot of european (german, swiss,
austrian and hungarian) tire comparison report rate it as good as pirelli snowsport and dunlop winter m2 ... wears well too. got it for cad600 (4 tires incl tax before installation).
