Anyone have a 30 day check up ???

I am curious several friends have just picked up new cars like me. Mine is a 2004 325i I got it from Erhard BMW in michigan. One friend got a Saab another an Audi. They both have a 30 day check up at the dealer. I was told nothing (Erhard seems to be rather lacking) So do I just come back in a year? (15K oil change) Just wondering what others have been offered.

my dealership did not offer me this. my wifes lexus needed to go back for a 1500 mile checkup. I just chalk it up to being a different engine which may have a harsher break-in period.

Maybe those other car manufacturers don't test the cars at the end of the assembly line, so they leave it to the buyer to test it out some and come back to see if everything is okay?
